Keep your eyes and ears open for a Dem from Northern Virginia who appears to be on the rise. Delegate David Englin of the 45th district has taken naturally to shining the light on the GOP War on Women in Virginia. He’s been on several political shows, most notably The Rachel Maddow Show, and has clearly articulated the concerns about the original transvaginal ultrasound bill and the amended version that was authored by none other than Governor McDonnell.
If the national Democratic party is looking for candidates to groom for other positions, take a look at Dave. He’s got the courage to take on the opposition when they are in power and he’s doing it so effectively that he was able to gain the attention of the national media. The end result turned this legislation into a political hot potato for VA Republicans who can’t figure a way out of the quagmire without lying and fumbling the amendment designed to “improve” the original bill.
Listen to Del. Englin’s succinct exposition of events on The Rachel Maddow Show:

Cost vs benefits tipping back in favor of Made in USA. GE and Boeing execs are getting out in front of the resurgence of US manufacturing. Being "global" is not a simplistic excuse to rush to judgement by moving plants overseas.
Sounds like some fact-based decision science is being used by the more forward thinking companies, to balance to low wages of China and Mexico against to total supplying chain cost, to rationalize optimize plant locations.
And... it does not hurt a corporation brand image, to make a positive impact on the economic success of their home country.
This bodes well for next generation of American Engineers and Scientists.
