Democrat Mark Warner has accelerated his lead against Republican Jim Gilmore in the race for Virginia’s US Senate seat. Warner picked up 5 points, while Gilmore sagged another 4 points, in the June 12th Rasmussen Reports poll, about two weeks after the Republican state convention on May 31st. Warner is likely to see another polling pop, after announcing his commitment to stay in the Senate race at the Virginia Democratic state convention on June 14th.
